I hate wet races. Reminds me of soccer games being decided by penalty kicks. “Anything can happen” basically means “this is almost entirely random.” Two Alpines on the podium illustrates it perfectly. Waste of a weekend IMO.

Hell of a race! Usually I find Mexico to be a shitty knockoff of Monza in thin air, but the racing was fantastic. Great day for Red Bull haters too. Forza Ferrari! Constructors championship is within reach!

My GOODNESS was Carlos quick today. Charles just hasn’t had it this weekend, but he won from P4 last week, so there’s absolutely a podium to play for tomorrow, and I expect Ferrari to overtake Red Bull too.

FORZA FERRARI! What a race from Charles. Masterful start and race management. P1/P2 baby!

That’s the most frustrating disaster I’ve seen out of Ferrari in quite a while. Any outside chance at the constructors has been flushed down the toilet. Gutted.

Boom! Pole four in a row for Charles at Baku! Forza! Can Ferrari get back in the fight? Probably too much to ask, but if McClaren and Red Bull can’t get their acts together…

What a weekend of sport for your boy, capped off with an absolutely elite drive and win for Charles and Ferrari! Forza!

Also delighted for Lando, who had a “simply lovely” performance 😏

McLaren is going to regret those team orders that took points from Lando…

Extremely happy with a P3 / P5 finish in Zandvoort for the Scuderia. After two days of disappointment, it’s much better than expected. Still dissatisfied with the development of the car this season.

Stunned that Red Bull is sticking with Checo. He’s got less than half the points of his teammate and has shown no signs of improvement. Not a Red Bull guy, so it’s at least good for the lols

Finally some luck goes Charles’ way. Pole position thanks to Max’s grid penalty and Checo’s continued lagging performance compared to his teammate. Strong lap too, but it’s clear that the car is still way too slow. Hoping for a podium tomorrow!

Also, how in the WORLD did Max not get penalized for colliding with Lewis? Or for gaining an advantage on lap one for that matter? Absolute garbage. Max can do anything he wants.

The biggest takeaways from today’s race:
(1) McLaren is utterly foolish… one of the dumbest team orders in history
(2) Verstappen is a baby

But, I’m almost writing off the rest of the season as a Ferrari fan. All of the momentum of the strong start has evaporated, the strategy blunders have returned, and the car is not improving. Such a shame.

That has to be the race of the season, without a doubt. So many cars in contention, lots of overtaking, drama, strategy, and ultimately an incredible moment for Lewis after such a long wait.

Apparently, the Monaco curse didn’t die, it just turned into “nothing good can happen to Charles Leclerc now that he has won Monaco.” 😭

I do hold out some hope that Ferrari will be much stronger on street circuits featuring more low speed corners like Singapore and Vegas.

Genuinely irritated that Ferrari has the 4th fastest car at this stage of the season. Such a promising start, but since Monaco, it’s been a mess. Barring significant upgrades, it’ll be a P4 in the constructors. Ah, Ferrari fandom.

Couldn’t even finish watching the race replay I was so pissed. No question it’s an incredibly gripping and exciting race, but man does this feel like 2022 Ferrari all over again. Bin the weekend 🗑️ and focus on the next race.

If you’re just a general fan of , or a fan of a baclmarker, mixed condition racing is amazing because of the total chaos. If you’re a fan of a leading team? It sucks. 😂
