Checked into Armondos

Quiet dinner to myself.

In my happy place this week. Just me, the dogs, and our quiet Palm Desert neighborhood. Treating myself to dinner and margaritas at my favorite Mexican spot on El Paseo. Later? Floating in the pool under the stars.

Iโ€™d absolutely love to see Apple TV+ do adaptations of some of my favorite books - The Dresden Files, Snow Crash, Anathem, Seveneves, etc.

In other news, the second time was the charm for my GPU. Then I ran into issues with my power supply. I swapped it out for a Corsair one, and now things are up and running. ๐ŸŽ‰

Okay, now that I can get over 100fps on โ€œVery Highโ€ settings on the Spider-Man games, Iโ€™m gonna have to replay them from the start. Such pretty games!

Hoo-boy, what a day in Formula 1 history.

I just read an article that listed Esteban Ocon as a viable option for Lewisโ€™ vacated seat at Mercedes. They might as well have named the article โ€œletโ€™s name current F1 drivers in alphabetical order!โ€

Listened to Chew Process

Rae brings the case against their mom, Judy. Judy is adamant that you have to eat certain foods in certain orders. But Rae says her momโ€™s gut instinct is nothing but a bunch of *fart noises*. Whoโ€™s right? Whoโ€™s wrong?

Rick's crew sends a rock truck careening off the road. Tony goes rogue and buys a new wash plant to get his Indian River operation back up and running. Parker increases his gold target, pushing Rocksand to the limit.

I finished playing โ€œUncharted: The Lost Legacyโ€ this week. I was skeptical that an Uncharted game would work without Nathan Drake. Boy, was I wrong. The story was compelling, the visuals absolutely stunning, and it provided just enough of a challenge.

I started Cyberpunk 2077, and it didnโ€™t really pull me in. So, Iโ€™m trying out God of War, which looks amazing, but is pretty intense and dark. Iโ€™ll stick with it, but am really just killing time until Horizon: Forbidden West comes out on Steam in March.

This game is incredibly boring.

Tony tries to resurrect his infamous Dredge #1. Parker brings in his last gold from Australia Creek and focuses the team on finishing the Money Pit. The McCaughans hunt for a new hotspot.

Iโ€™m late to the party, but boy does the SF-24 look amazing. Looks donโ€™t win races, but those yellow and white go faster stripes? Gorgeous. I canโ€™t believe the season is only a few weeks away! ๐ŸŽ๏ธ

For their latest adventure, Jeremy, James and Richard travel to wild and remote country of Mauritania, in West Africa. Their challenge is to follow in the footsteps of the worldโ€™s most dangerous race, the iconic Paris-Dakar. Netflixโ€™s password sharing system is really irritating if you split time between two cities. I get what theyโ€™re trying to prevent, but it is incredibly inconvenient for legitimate users. Being chained to home internet makes Netflix into old school cable TV.

The word โ€œnetโ€ is literally in the name of the service. Itโ€™s not โ€œHouseflix,โ€ itโ€™s Netflix. So, let me use the internet!

Anyway, Iโ€™ll just use Tailscale to route all of the traffic from my Apple TV in Palm Desert through my internet connection in Los Angeles. Eat it, Netflix. ๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿป
