For Christmas, I gave my 10 year old boy a very special gift. On the tree was a peculiar ornament; a circuit board. When switched on, chiptune Christmas music plays, with a little light show. Then the screen says “my first gaming PC built with daddy.”

How are you handling games? Did you set up a new Steam account? Or does he share yours (or another service)? I'm not thrilled with Steam right now - if you have one account, you can't play different games simultaneously on different machines. I bought those games - it's anti-consumer.
